Palantir Technologies helps identify road side bombs

The Washington Times has an article on the fight by US commanders in Afganistan to get permission to use Palantir Technologies' software to identify spots where improvised explosive devices are likely to be hidden.

Palantir's software platform allows intelligence analysts to quickly mine multiple streams of data to calculate locations where bombs are likely to be hidden in an intuitive and straightforward way. By integrating multiple data sources it allows analytical problems which would have taken several days to be solved in a matter of hours.
